Daniel’s Story

Daniel* came to the US with his family to seek a new life, but instead he found heartbreak: His wife left him and he had to care for their two young sons alone. He wanted a better job to provide for them, but his English skills were minimal. His sons were distracted by the wrong friends in school and struggling in their studies.

People like you have helped many refugees and immigrants like Daniel. Your special gift by December 31 will help your new neighbors find hope.

Daniel was frustrated and discouraged. Even though he came from a culture somewhat familiar with the Gospel, he still wondered, “Is there a god or a church who will care for me and my family?”

God led Daniel to classes at FTNDC, and he shared these family burdens one day during class. Our volunteer Jan prayed quietly as he shared, and she brought his concern to the teaching team. Daniel needed people who could speak truth into his life and help him find Jesus.

In answer to our prayers and with the support of local believers, Daniel received the Lord Jesus as his Savior. He found a church home where he and his sons are being ministered to, and together they are growing in their faith!

This Christmas, you can help refugees and immigrants who do not have the hope found in Jesus. Please give by December 31 to help refugee and immigrant families to learn English and–more importantly to learn about Jesus Christ.
